Skabene
Skabene is a nice place in the Riga Old Town to go on a hot summer afternoon after a bike tour to have a nice pint of cold beer. There are always discussions going on if Skabene is a cafe or a bar or a pub, to be honest the owners don’t know themselves, but nevertheless we recommend Skabene as a friendly place to go and meet some new friends.
They have a nice selection of table board games and an outside terrace in the Summer.

Robert’s Books in Riga
Robert’s books are located on the corner of Antonijas iela and Dzirnavu iela in Riga. They have a nice selection of second hand English language books – literary fiction, crime, thrillers, history, and politics as well as some IT and engineering books too.
Most of the books are priced in between 1 to 5 Lats which is a real bargain.
